This will be Ms. Stuart’s first year of teaching, and she is proud to begin her career as a mathematics instructor at West Michigan Aviation Academy. As a WMAA alumni, Ms. Stuart is thrilled to again be a part of the WMAA community since her career choice was influenced greatly by her experience as a student at the school. It is Ms. Stuart’s goal that she will be able to perpetuate the exciting atmosphere of excellence that was evident during her high school years.
Besides the wonderful education afforded her by WMAA, Ms. Stuart also attended Lake Superior State University and earned her bachelor’s degree in mathematics education. Her minor is in English education. Ms. Stuart spent much of her undergraduate years as a tutor for students in subjects ranging from 5th grade math to second semester calculus. She currently teaches trigonometry and precalculus, honors algebra II, and AP statistics.
When she isn’t working, Ms. Stuart loves to spend time with friends and family, explore the outdoors, and exercise. It is rumored that she lives on the beach during the summer months.
Ms. Stuart loves her job because she not only enjoys math but also enjoys her students. It is her ultimate hope that her students are immersed in an environment that allows them to discover the joy and confidence that will allow them to engage in learning experiences beyond her classroom.
