Students will extend their understanding of biomedical engineering, “empathy” and user-centered design, and innovative technologies as they continue to investigate the roles of biomedical professionals. Students will identify problems and strategize as they design solutions to a variety of health challenges in the context of real-world, human-centered cases. Students will build upon the knowledge acquired in Biomedical Engineering 1 and/or 2 as they take a hands-on approach to engineering innovative solutions while learning about topics like: introduction to CAD for biomedical engineering, biomaterials and biocompatibility, biomedical signals and systems, biorobotics.
