This course is intended to introduce freshmen to the fundamentals of physics through extensive experimentation, reading, and writing. Students will investigate topics including speed and acceleration, forces, kinematics, projectile motion, light and sound, electromagnetism, circuits, and thermodynamics. This course will include a more rigorous application of reading and writing as well as more student-designed experimentation than Physics and will serve as an excellent stepping stone to AP Physics and engineering courses. Students will be required to completed an additional paper in the first semester and take part in the science exhibit the second semester.
