This class will start with a basic overview of biological systems and their functions. Students will learn interactions between the levels of organization of the human body and the individual parts of each level. The anatomy and function of each of these systems will be discussed throughout the class: integumentary, skeletal, muscular, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, lymphatic and immune, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive. The anatomical planes and sections will also be studied in order to understand the overall structure of the body. This is a great class for any student interested in expanding on what they learned in biology class and is interested in pursuing a career in any health field.
