Mr. Ratliff is excited to return for his third year at West Michigan Aviation Academy! This school year, Mr. Ratliff is teaching English 10 Honors, English 11, and Leadership.
Mr. Ratliff graduated from Clarkston high school on the east side of Michigan and moved to Grand Rapids in the summer of 2010. He graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Secondary Education and a minor in History. While at GVSU, Mr. Ratliff received consistent recognition for persuasive and analytical writing skills in various competitions and is proud to be a part of back-to-back intramural basketball championship teams.
When not in school, Mr. Ratliff enjoys playing basketball, playing golf, watching football, and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Ratliff comes from a large family and has enjoyed learning many valuable life lessons from his three older brothers and one older sister. One of Mr. Ratliff’s favorite things to do is spend time with his nieces and nephews. In other exciting news, Mr. Ratliff is excited to get married over the holiday break this December!
Mr. Ratliff is very excited to continue his professional career at West Michigan Aviation Academy and hopes to inspire curiosity and critical thinking in all of his students!
