Fillinger, Eric

Mr. Fillinger is originally from Ohio, and graduated from Defiance High School in 1999. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from The College of Wooster. At Wooster, his Senior Thesis was written on the role of the U.S. Air Force in the opening months of the Korean War. He then attended Wright State University, obtaining a Master’s in Education. He started his teaching career in Yukon, Oklahoma, a suburb of Oklahoma City. At Yukon, he taught World History and AP World History for 6 years. At WMAA he teaches Economics and Introduction to Aviation.

Mr. Fillinger has been married for nine years, and has a young son. He enjoys traveling, camping, and spending time with family. He is excited to join WMAA and bring his life-long love of social studies and aviation to his students!
